The mother sent her second son with a second bottle and a second note worth ten rupees. She also filled the bottle. Coming back he also fell and dropped the bottle then half the oil flowed. He picked up the bottle and came to his mother. He was so happy ' oh mom! Look I saved half the oil. The bottle had fallen down and it would have broken too. The oil was flowing, all the oil was flowing. But I got up early and saved half the oil.
Both boys came to their mother in the same condition, with the same bottle, half empty and half full. One was crying over half empty bottle, the other was happy over half full bottle.
Then the mother sent the third son with a second bottle and a ten rupee note. While returning he also fell and the bottle fell down. Half of the oil washed away. He picked up the bottle and like the other son he also happily went to his mother, ' Mom, I have saved half the oil. But it was a vipassy boy, not only hope but also full of reality. He thought, ' Well, half the oil survived, but half destroyed. So he said to his mother, ' Now I will go to the market, work hard all day and by evening I will fill this bottle. ' This is Vipassana. Hope not disappointment, but reality and hard work.
